Scholarship Awards

Scholarships are awarded to deserving Black students from the Brampton Area pursuing post-secondary education. To date, over 100 post-secondary scholarships have been awarded.

Kay Livingston Continuing Education

This Award is given to a Black single mother who has resumed her post-secondary education.
All applicants to our scholarship program go through a screening process.

After School Reading Program

This pilot program is currently being developed and will be specific to one school in Brampton. Program start date is projected to be January 2022.

Black History Month

Since 2002 the Brampton Chapter in partnership with United Achievers’ Club hosts a live Black History Month Concert in a local theatre.  The goal of the partnership is to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the African, Black and Caribbean peoples.

These non-profit organizations are dedicated to the preservation, development and promotion of our cultural heritage and are active in the Brampton community serving youth, seniors and others in need of guidance and support in order to live a productive and successful life.

Carabram

Since 2003, the Brampton Chapter has been an organizing partner of the award winning Caribbean Pavilion at Carabram, Brampton’s Multicultural Festival. The Caribbean Pavilion is the longest running pavilion serving patrons for over 35 years using food, entertainment, and décor to educate and engage the broader community in the vibrant cultures of the Caribbean with steel band music, cultural dance, calypso and reggae artists, food, ice cream, tropical drinks and much more.
